VISION

PROTEINS, VITAMINS AND MINERALS IN NIGERIA AND WEST AFRICA

There are many opportunities in West Africa for “brown field” agribusiness development as many mismanaged farms have fallen into disuse.

Major gaps in investment have lead to particularly attractive margins in the meat, poultry, fish and diary sectors in view of increased protein demand and low production capacity.

Moreover, the gradual move from staple production towards high-value horticulture crops is an important contributor to employment opportunities in Africa. DW Agriculture aims to use its business to bridge the identified gaps and mobilize farmers to produce for the very significant local market primarily and then to serve the export market as a second stage strategy.
