ABOUT

DW AGRICULTURE

WE GROW CAPACITY

AND WEALTH

The cultivation, processing, packaging and distribution of complementary foods are the core businesses of DW Agriculture.

STRATEGY

To help meet the nutritional needs of Nigeria and West Africa through practical, low cost indigenous production and distribution of agricultural products.

We achieve this by providing the technical and physical support for communities to participate in a commercially operated agribusiness initiative that creates value at all levels of the supply chain.

Our business model ensures the best possible terms to participating communities, and provides economies of scale to the commercial operations. This scale supports the capital investment required to efficiently generate the supply of inputs, and add further value via product processing equipment and distribution logistics.

This strategy empowers communities through agricultural training and entrepreneurship, and promotes additional job creation and skills enhancement in the processing and distribution segments of the industry.

The objective is to create a large commercial agribusiness firm that has technical expertise and critical capital equipment at it's core, yet has dispersed operational units that leverage community participation.

STANDARDS AND QUALITY

In order to meet the highest global standards in animal welfare as well as health, safety and environment for best practice in production, processing and transport, DWA conforms to

IFC Good Practice Note
on Improving Animal Welfare in Livestock Operations

Global GAP requirements in documentation, processes, use of inputs and infrastructure
